Notice of Investigation
We will notify you that a complaint has been made against you as soon as we have conducted preliminary investigations into the complaint and gathered any supporting evidence. It may, therefore, be a few weeks before you become aware of the complaint. We will aim to send you a summary of the complaint against you within two weeks of notification.
In some circumstances, you may already be aware of a complaint because someone has contacted you directly to complain, informing you that they have referred their complaint to us. However, in the early stages of a complaint against you we will not be able to provide you with details until we have ascertained whether we have jurisdiction to investigate. We will, however, notify you as soon as we can if we are going to proceed with an investigation.
