The charge against Ryan McGuire was:
Failing to maintain high standards of professional and personal conduct and justify public trust in him, the profession and the provision of legal services contrary to: Principle 2 (Outcome 2.2) of the CILEx Code of Conduct 2015.
The particulars of the charge were that on 21 December 2016, Ryan McGuire was convicted at the Cardiff and the Vale Magistrates Court for committing racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment/alarm/distress [in] words/writing following an incident on 29 October 2016, whereby he used offensive language of a racial nature toward an individual of a Black and/or Minority Ethnic background.
The Tribunal found the charge proven.
The Disciplinary Tribunal decided to Reprimand Ryan McGuire in respect of his past conduct and Warn him in respect of his future conduct. He was ordered to pay costs.
